SNF aims to alleviate the significant cost of treatment and provide holistic healthcare and community support for low income children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in Africa. SNF’s work includes hosting education and wellness camps, distributing blood sugar monitoring devices and other essential tests and medical supplies, advocating for policies that protect the needs of affected children, and sponsoring T1D awareness campaigns, diagnosis drives and healthcare worker training to reduce deaths from lack of awareness or diagnosis.
